New educational activities at the Banknote Museum of Ionian Bank
As part of Alpha Bank “Culture for all” initiative and in partnership with seveneleven, the Banknote Museum of Ionian Bank is hosting new educational activities aimed to ensure equal access to culture for all. We use the museum’s permanent exhibition in various ways, offering a multi-sensory and interactive experience, both in person and online, to visitors of all ages.
At the Museum

“The Chronicle of a Banknote. Faces and History on Paper”
A journey into the times, faces and milestones in Greek and world history through the banknotes in the Museum’s collection. Participants discover the story behind each banknote through an online activity for young and old.
The new in-person and online activities at the Banknote Museum of Ionian Bank, in partnership with seveneleven NPO, encourage participants of all ages to play, create, explore and discover the secrets hidden within Greek banknotes.
Aiming at equal access to culture and art for all, we cultivate conditions for social awareness, reduce inequalities and build an inclusive society. We adapt the content of our activities to all age groups and follow the Thallo methodology for individuals aged 60+.
The activities are part of Alpha Bank’s corporate responsibility initiative “Culture for all”. Within a safe environment for expression, we facilitate participation in cultural events, and contribute to getting people to socialise and improving their mental health.
