Between Price and Money

The publication Between Price and Money: Corfu in the Years of English Rule (1814-1864) imprints Corfu during the years of the English rule in terms of its economic, social and political establishment. It analyses the local economic mechanisms, which form a primary field for consideration of the contradictions within the society of Corfu. It attempts to grasp the meaning of events and behaviours expressed at a demographic and political level, as well as in collective mentalities.
