The Alpha Bank Art Collection is participating in the major commemorative exhibition “Uprootings, 1922-2022. Witnessing through Art”, hosted at the Teloglion Fine Arts Foundation, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

The exhibition focuses primarily on visual art creations linked to the period of the Asia Minor Catastrophe, but also uprootings in more recent times, up to the present.

It is held under the auspices of H.E. the President of the Hellenic Republic Ms Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

For the purposes of the exhibition, the Art Collection loaned 3 works by Spyros Papaloukas (1892-1957):

  • Arsanas of Pantokratoros Monastery, 1924, oil on canvas, 55 x 52 cm
  • Arsanas of Agios Griogorios Monastery, 1928, oil on canvas, 58 x 48 cm
  • Dionysios Monastery, 1924, oil on canvas, 56 x 50 cm
