To celebrate the World Savings Day, the Numismatic Collection Nomos-Nomizo-Nomisma museum kit travelled to schools in Nafpaktos on 31 October 2023.

The children are introduced to the ancient coins

A total of 60 primary school students from Kotronis Schools participated in an educational activity.

Dr Dimitra Tsangari, Curator of the Alpha Bank Numismatic Collection, presented coins issued by several cities and under the rule of different kings. During the activity, the children:

  • Completed a jigsaw puzzle of the ancient world.
  • Saw the expansion of coinage.
  • Made coins according to the ancient technique, using clay dies and modelling clay plasticine.
  • Drew their own coins.

Alpha Bank executives from the Attica II, Southwestern Greece and Islands Branch Division, and the Nafpaktos Branch attended the presentation and the educational activities. The School’s Management and Teaching staff also attended the event.
