Student competition “Corfu. On a poster”

The Alpha Bank Art Collection and the Banknote Museum of Ionian Bank, in collaboration with the National Historical Museum, are hosting a creative student competition on “Corfu. On a poster”. The competition is supported by the Corfu Secondary Education Directorate.

A chance to create

From 28.09.2026 to 11.12.2026, students aged 12 to 15 who attend high schools on Corfu will have the opportunity to create a unique tourism poster about Corfu.

Inspiration and observation

The students will visit the exhibition “Greece, an iconic land. Art in the Greek National Tourism Organization posters (1929-1976)” at the Banknote Museum of Ionian Bank, to observe how renowned Greek artists depicted the country and the Greek landscape.

Drawing inspiration both from the poster-artworks and from their own images and experiences, they will then create an original tourism poster about Corfu.

Awards and distinctions

Once all entries have been submitted, 10 works will advance to the final stage of the competition.

At this stage, the judging panel will select the 3 best works to receive awards. The awards will also be accompanied by special gifts. The school of the student who wins 1st place will also receive a gift.
